Causes
10% of what this site earns is given away.
Murmur gives away 10% of its earnings — 5% to environmental and animal welfare work, and 5% to disease research. It is split the same way for everybody. There is nothing to choose and nothing to opt into.
5%
Disease research
Research into the illnesses that shorten and take lives.
What this page does not claim
The percentages above are a commitment by whoever runs Murmur. This page shows no amount raised and no amount donated, because the site has no way to verify one — and a number that looked like money but was made of something else would be exactly the sort of thing this site exists not to do. There is no figure on this page that the software measured; there is a pledge, and the percentages it is made of.
